Lisbon to Cape Town from 21 October to 10 November 2026

Lisbon to Cape Town from 21 October to 10 November 2026 on the Silver Muse with a guest capacity of 632
This journey begins with an overnight stay in Funchal, Madeira, where emerald peaks and island wines set the tone, before heading south to the storied coastlines of Senegal and Ghana, calling at Dakar and Takoradi.

The final chapter belongs to Namibia — an overnight in Walvis Bay offers marine safaris, rolling dunes and flamingo-filled lagoons, followed by a day in charming, time-forgotten Lüderitz — before the unmistakable silhouette of Table Mountain rises to welcome your arrival in Cape Town.

With days at sea in between, there is ample time to savour life aboard Silversea’s elegant flagship: eight dining venues, destination-inspired cuisine at S.A.L.T. Kitchen, and the intuitive, all-suite service for which the line is renowned.

Carrying just 596 guests in 298 elegant all-suite accommodations — the vast majority with private verandas — she offers the intimacy of a small ship with the space and sophistication of a grand one, complemented by butler service for every suite and one of the highest crew-to-guest ratios at sea.

Dining is a highlight, with eight distinctive venues ranging from the destination-inspired S.A.L.T. Kitchen — where menus and over 160 regional wines reflect the flavours of the places you visit — to handmade pastas at La Terrazza, Japanese artistry at Kaiseki, Neapolitan pizza at Spaccanapoli, and soulful jazz with inventive small plates at Silver Note.

Fresh from an extensive refit completed in January 2026, Silver Muse feels as polished as the day she debuted, with thoughtfully designed public spaces, a serene pool deck and spa, and the effortless, all-inclusive service for which Silversea is renowned.

Seabourn Quest, a beautiful new look

SEABOURN QUEST EMERGES FROM DRYDOCK WITH REIMAGINED SPACES
AND A MORE REFINED ONBOARD EXPERIENCE

Updates across suites, dining, and gathering spaces reflect the most comprehensive drydock in the line’s history
Seabourn Quest (450 guests) has returned from drydock, donning the most comprehensive interior update in Seabourn‘s history.
Enhancements across suites, public spaces, dining venues and the spa create a more relaxed and refined onboard experience.

“This drydock represents an investment that reflects our unwavering focus on elevating every aspect of the guest experience,”
said Mark Tamis, President of Seabourn.
“Seabourn Quest has always had a loyal following, and we wanted to enhance the spaces where our guests spend their time on board, from the feel of their suite to the atmosphere of The Club in the evening, to ensure they have the best experience at sea when they sail on this beautiful ship.”

Reimagined Public Spaces
The Club underwent one of the most significant transformations on board, with a sophisticated, speakeasy-inspired ambiance, reconfigured layout, updated bar design and new lighting that reshape how the space is experienced throughout the evening.
The redesigned layout creates a more cohesive atmosphere for live music and social gatherings, while also improving the flow across the venue, allowing guests to move naturally between the bar, lounge seating and dance floor.

Across the rest of ship, public areas have been updated to enhance flow and atmosphere, making it easier for guests to move naturally through the ship, settle in, and enjoy each part of the day. The atrium, corridors and stairways received new carpeting.

Seabourn Square now features a warmer, living room atmosphere including new furniture and limited bistro-style seating.

The Spa was enhanced with a redesigned reception area, all new gym equipment and updated salon, including new finishes,
lighting and furnishings, creating a more serene, calming environment that deepens the sense of relaxation and well-being

The main pool deck debuts with all new sound system and lighting, surrounded by renewed teak deck.

Enhanced Dining Venues, Refreshed Suites
Suites across all categories received new mattresses and plush new wool carpeting, while Penthouse and premium suites
also received updated veranda furniture, creating a more inviting space to relax and take in the view.

Seabourn Quest will continue its Mediterranean season through November 2026,
and sail a series of seven-day voyages between Dubrovnik, Fusina (Venice), Istanbul and Athens,
calling on yacht harbours and islands in Croatia, Greece, Montenegro and Turkey.
For 2027, we suggest Northern Europe: Lisbon to Dover is a great option with interesting ports;
we receive rave reviews about the Jewels of the British Isles, the Norwegian Fjords are beautiful,
the Baltic is interesting and Iceland is lovely.

I’ve cruised most of these areas so let me know if you’d like to discuss the options in more detail.

Crystal Grace Launching in 2028

The Crystal Grace is Crystal’s first new ship in 25 years and will debut in June 2028.
337 suites will accommodate 650 guests.

According to Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group, guest feedback guided the ship’s design philosophy from the outset.

“From the very beginning of Crystal Grace’s design process, we prioritized listening to our guests. Their preferences, their habits and the way they live while at sea informed every decision we made,” she said.
“The suites reflect a thoughtful evolution of space, comfort and accessibility, delivering the elevated residential feeling our guests have asked for while preserving the elegance and intimacy that define the Crystal experience.”

Crystal Grace will make her official debut on 11 June 2028, in Civitavecchia (Rome) with an inaugural voyage that visits Sorrento, Igoumenitsa, Kotor, Split, Zadar and Trieste before continuing to Venice.

Her Mediterranean season explores Southern Europe’s historic coastlines and cultural capitals including voyages across Italy, Croatia, Greece, France and Spain, with stops in Valencia and Monte Carlo.

Crystal Grace will be christened during an overnight stay in Monte Carlo; part of 8 July voyage departing from Barcelona.

Japan cruises

Japan has plenty to see and experience including beautiful gardens, great art, delicious food, interesting culture and lovely scenery.

The best times to visit are during spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November), when Japan is at its most vibrant, with delicate cherry blossoms or bright red leaves adding contrast to the scenery.

Autumn, September to November

Autumn in Japan is about crimson leaves and perfect weather. The autumn foliage season begins in mid-September on the island of Hokkaido, the northernmost island.

In other parts of Japan, like Tokyo and Kyoto,
the best viewing times typically range from
mid-October through early December. Temperatures are cool but mild, ranging from about 24 °C on warm September days
to 7 °C in late autumn evenings.

Cherry Blossom Season

The cherry blossom season is during spring, from about end March until beginning of April.
The weather is on the cooler side, especially further north, so warmer clothing is needed but this isn’t the rainy season.

There are plenty of choices on different cruise lines, so let us know which month is best for you.
