“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste it, to experience it to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experiences.”
Eleanor Roosevelt
As we step into the new year, I find myself reflecting on a remarkable journey that began in January 1999. This year, Cruise Options celebrates a milestone – 25 years of navigating the seas and unforgettable cruise experiences. It’s been an adventure weathering world events that have reshaped international travel, witnessing the evolution of cruise lines, and the transformation of ships into marvels of modernity.
My heart lies with expedition cruising, and it’s astounding to see this sector’s growth and the new frontiers it continues to unveil. My most treasured travel moments are those spent in the quiet awe of nature – like the times I’ve witnessed a polar bear on the ice, its calls echoing in the vast silence, far from the traces of human presence. Such experiences are a testament to the privilege and wonder of travel.
As we celebrate this quarter-century milestone, I want to extend my deepest thanks to you. Your support has been invaluable, and it has been a pleasure getting to know so many of you, helping to shape your incredible cruise adventures.
Here’s to many more years of discovery, and to the many voyages that await us on the horizon.
