Windstar Cruises

Windstar’s small cruise ships and personalized approach brings you closer to each destination and every port, so you can see the world from new perspectives. Share intimate moments away from the crowds, and immerse yourself in local, exotic cultures, all on a cruise where surprise and delight are constant companions. With elegant cruise ships of fewer than 350 guests, Windstar opens up captivating new worlds for you to make memories to last a lifetime.

It’s human nature to hold authenticity in high regard. We place great value on interacting with people and their custom firsthand, gaining access to a truly authentic experience in a foreign land. This is something Windstar delivers on every itinerary, visiting lesser-known ports and villages, small port markets, forgotten village squares and deliciously quiet, unhurried cafés. Meet with local fishermen along the weathered docks of Petersburg, one of the most lucrative fishing ports in the US and learn how they practice their trade. Glimpse Russian life through Georgian eyes in a restored home overlooking the small coastal Black Sea port of Batumi. Swirl and savor white wines from Corsican family vineyards near Pigna or sip Croatian red and whites among fragrant oak barrels in a small winery outside Komaji on the sunny Dubrovnik Riviera.

Windstar’s firsthand engagements inspire candid conversations between hosts and visitors, something that happens naturally on small-group excursions. These interactions garner a true sense of local life, and realizations that despite different languages or appearances, we share similar values and dreams. Join us and discover a broadened sense of our world and an increased awareness of the remarkable people who inhabit it.

Windstar Cruises offers a lighter style of luxury that is more casual while still providing upscale accommodations and service. We’d like to share some of Windstar’s bucket list cruises – places that a Windstar yacht can take you and deliver unforgettable experiences you haven’t even dreamed of.

Windstar’s Fleet

Windstar’s small yachts offer intimate and authentic access to the destinations they visit. Fewer than 342 guests on each ship allows for visits to smaller ports and dock in piers closer to the heart of city centers, which allows guests more direct access to the destination. This is just one benefit of small ship cruising.

The $250 Million Star Plus Initiative will transform their three all-suite Star Class ships into Star Plus Class ships with new restaurants, new suite choices, gorgeous new bathrooms in all suites, and improvements behind the scenes that make their yachts even more environmentally friendly. The Initiative is not about getting bigger, it’s about offering their guests more of what they love about Windstar.

Each yacht will carry 312 guests and continue to offer the world’s best small ship experience but with more amenities that our guests have been asking us for like additional dining venues and a world-class Spa and Fitness Center. We are making these improvements to ensure these beloved ships may continue to operate well into the future. The Star Breeze, Star Legend and Star Pride were the small Seabourn ships that a lot of you enjoyed cruising on.

Wind Surf is a staysail schooner that is one of the largest sailing cruise ships in the world. With all ocean-view staterooms and a guest capacity of 310, the 187 m long, 14 745-ton Wind Surf, sports 2 400 m² of Dacron self-furled sails on five masts.

The Wind Spirit and Wind Star are sleek, 4-masted sailing yachts accommodating 148 guests. With four decks and a gross tonnage of 5,736, Wind Spirit and Wind Star feels like your own private yacht.
