Antarctica, South Georgia & Falklands Holiday Cruise, 19 December 2023 to 9 January 2024 on the Seabourn Venture
EARLY BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL FOR ANTARCTICA AND SOUTH GEORGIA
Antarctica and South Georgia is a trip of a lifetime that we highly recommend. It’s so unbelievably beautiful that it’s impossible to capture in photos and the sights and sounds of all the penguins, seals, whales and birds is an incredible experience. South Georgia is as much of a highlight as Antarctica with vast colonies of King Penguins, Fur and Elephant seals, Shackleton’s grave plus the climate and environment is not as extreme so it offers more opportunities to walk around freely.
December / January is the peak time in Antarctica as this is the time when the eggs hatch and penguin chicks sit on their parents’ feet (or nearby) to feed. The chances of finding good weather are statistically better than earlier in the season and the days are at their longest, with a dusk-like light throughout the night which offers great photo opportunities.
