Celebrate Abercrombie & Kent's 30th Anniversary of Luxury Expedition Cruising
by sailing The Northeast Passage: Across the Russian Arctic with founder Geoffrey Kent from 27 August to 21 September 2021 onboard Le Boreal with Jann Porter
Join A&K founder Geoffrey Kent on a celebratory voyage through the Northeast Passage alongside their award-winning
Expedition Team, a National Geographic photographer and a Russian Far East expert. Cruise from Tromso, Norway, to Nome, Alaska,
visiting remote, legendary settlements strewn across the Russian High Arctic, seldom-seen Siberian islands, isolated wildlife habitats and
Arctic nature reserves along the way.
The seldom voyaged Northeast Passage is a fabulous bucket list trip and I’m so excited to be joining A&K with a Cruise Options group
on this incredible voyage of discovery. This will be my 8th group cruise with Abercrombie & Kent and they have all been wonderful
as the expedition team is superb, the ships are new and modern plus we’ve seen so many interesting and beautiful places.
There is great camaraderie when cruising with others, although everyone is quite independent.

The Northeast Passage reveals rugged Siberian Islands, majestic wildlife habitats and legendary Russian settlements.
Explore the Great Arctic State Nature Reserve in the Kara Sea, which spans over 41 000 square kilometres and is home to polar bears,
Arctic fox, reindeer, beluga whales and more. Discover Soviet-era Russia with a visit to Murmansk, the world’s biggest city north of the Arctic Circle, and Provideniya, a former military port.
Visit Wrangel Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is recognized for its vast biodiversity including the world’s largest population of Pacific walruses, the highest density of ancestral polar bear dens and the nesting grounds of over 100 species of migratory birds to name a few of it’s superlatives. Over 400 species of plants have been identified here, double that of any other Arctic tundra region.
There is also a good chance of seeing the Northern Lights but unfortunately no guarantees.
Learn the art of photographing these wild and remote landscapes and their inhabitants with National Geographic photographer Kiliii Yuyan.
